The Elephant Garlic Festival invites you to stop and smell the garlic in North Plains. If you’re a fan of hometown events filled with music, food and fun, you’ll want to attend at least one day of this annual festival.
The three-day festival is held at the Jessie Mays Community Park in North Plains. The whole community comes together to participate in the annual event.
Activities include a parade, live music, beer/wine garden, book sale, car show, and food and craft vendors. Of course, there will be many delicious garlic eats and goods available for purchase.

2023 Elephant Garlic Festival Schedule
The 25th Annual Elephant Garlic Festival is August 11-13, 2023. Hours are 12 to 11 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The event is free to attend and open to everyone.

12-6 p.m. Friends of the North Plains Library book sale at Jessie Mays Community Center.
12-8 p.m. Crafts vendors open.
12-11 p.m. Festival grounds, food vendors and beer/wine garden open.
3:30-5 p.m. Lady Moonshine (female duo)
5:30-8 p.m. Americana Jukebox (Americana)
8:30-11 p.m. Macey Gard Band (Pop, funk and dance)
Saturday, August 12
7 a.m. Early start time for the half marathon.
8 a.m. Oregon Road Runners Club 10K and 5K run starts.
10 a.m. Parade down Main Street and Commercial St.
10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friends of the North Plains Library book sale inside Jessie Mays Community Center.
10-8 p.m. Crafts vendors open.
10 a.m.-11 p.m. Festival grounds, food vendors and beer/wine garden open.
11 a.m.-5 p.m. OMSI at the Garlic Festival.
12-3:30 p.m. Car show.
12-1 p.m. Joe & The Wheel Monkeys (Bluegrass and Folk)

Parking
You may be able to snag a free parking spot in town. There will be a designated parking area at 311th and Commercial St. Parking is $5.
