Labor Day Weekend is just around the corner, which means local Portland shops are preparing for annual Labor Day sales. To make the most of the holiday, attend one of these free and cheap family-friendly events during Labor Day weekend.

2019 Labor Day Sales
Rogue Brewery Labor Day Garage Sale
From August 29 – September 2, bottles, growlers and kegs of beer will be on sale, as well as T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, glassware and other merchandise. Every Rogue location in Oregon is holding a sale. In Portland, you’ll find them a t1339 NW Flanders, 928 SE 9th Ave., and 1717 Southwest Park Ave.
Guardian Games Labor Day Parking Lot Sale
Calling all gamers! Guardian Games is hosting its 3rd annual parking lot sale from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, September 2. There will be a mix of new and used discounted games as well as game and swag giveaways. Make sure you bring cash!
Gamers are welcome to sell their own games, nerdy crafts, board games and more for $35, which includes a full table and two chairs.
Pearl District Labor Day Sale
More than 50 shops and eateries in the Pearl District are offering Labor Day sales prices. The sale runs from August 30-September 2. A short walk away, in the North Park Blocks, is the annual Art in the Pearl show, with artists’ booths, live music and food.
Rice NW Museum Garage Sale
Are you a rock hound? Head out the the Rice NW Museum of Rocks and Minerals on Friday (10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.). They will have a little bite of everything for sale, such as rocks, slabs, obsidian, lapidary rough, minerals, fossils, and more.
R.E.I. Labor Day Sale
The annual R.E.I. sale ends September 2. Shop in store or online.
Salty Teacup Summer Clearance Sale
This women’s clothing store and gift shop is hosting its annual clearance sale starting August 31. Head to Salty Teacup for clearance racks marked 20-70% off and jewelry 30-40% off.
