Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Alright now that I’ve got that out of my system, let me tell you about an awesome way to save on admission to the Oregon Zoo and see all of these magnificent animals up close.
On a regular day, adult admission is $17.95, and kids 3-11 get in for $12.95. Kids 2 and younger always receive free admission. The Oregon Zoo second Tuesday discount gives visitors a chance to save big on general admission.
On the second Tuesday of the month, you’ll get $9 admission per person to the Oregon Zoo. This deal is available all day during the zoo’s seasonal hours of 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Current dates of the Oregon Zoo second Tuesday discount:
- September 10
- October 8
- November 12
- December 10
In past years, this deal has been available through May. I will update this post as soon as the Oregon Zoo’s 2020 events have been made public.
There are a few ways you can make this deal even better. Have a Trimet pass? If so, opt to ride the bus or light rail to the zoo. When you show your transit ticket, HOP card, or TriMet pass, you’ll get $1.50 off your ticket price. Regular parking rates at the zoo are $2 per hour, or $8 for the day.
Here’s another fun activity you can tag onto your day. Every Tuesday, Topgolf offers half-price game play. Topgolf is a short drive west on Hwy 26 from the zoo.
The Oregon Zoo is located at 4001 SW Canyon Road in Portland.
