Find the perfect pumpkin at a farm near you
Buying a pumpkin at the grocery store does not come close to picking the perfect pumpkin right from the field. Just outside our great city are many you-pick farms celebrating the fall harvest with corn mazes, hay rides and many varieties of pumpkins, gourds, squash, corn and all your fall favorites. Find your favorite Portland pumpkin patches.
Here’s a list of farms that are a short drive from Portland. Hours vary. Check the farm’s site before you visit.

Portland Pumpkin Patches, Corn Mazes and Hayrides
Bella Organic & Portland Pumpkin Farm
Start date: August 24
Bella Organic on Sauvie Island features a pumpkin patch, corn maze, haunted corn maze, hay rides and petting zoo.
The pumpkin patch will be open September 19 through October 31. Free hayrides out to the patch will be available in October.
The 2020 Corn Maze is open starting August 24 and is dedicated to our frontline workers. You can get your tickets online. Masks or face shields will be required in the corn maze this year.
The haunted corn maze will be open Friday and Saturday nights in October, starting on October 2.

Lee Farms in Tualatin has all of the fun farm activities, including a pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayrides, slide, pony rides, farm animals and jumpy pad.

Plumper Pumpkin Patch
Start date: September 29
Plumper Pumpkin Patch is one of my favorite farms to visit in the fall. It has more of a small farm feel and a quaint, fun setting for families and groups of friends to enjoy. It offers a pumpkin patch, hay rides, play area, tube slides, farm animals and a farm store.

The Pumpkin Patch
Start date: August 29
Head to Sauvie Island for the pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay rides, produce market, animal barn, and food and beverage stands.
The 2020 8-acre corn maze theme is Better Together. The farm is striving to give visitors a chance to have fun outdoors safely. Masks will be required in the maze and anytime visitors cannot maintain a 6’ distance from others.

Topaz Farm (formerly known as Kruger’s Farm)
Start date: September 5
Last year, Kruger’s Farm was sold and has since became Topaz Farm.This year, they will have a pumpkin field, giant pumpkins on display, a corn maze, hayrides and animal interactions. The farm has a 9-acre corn maze, featuring one of their favorite goats, Bob.
The corn maze is $8 for adults, $6 for kids 6-12 and seniors. Kids 5 and under are free to visit. The maze is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. On Tuesdays, you can get buy one, get one tickets to the maze.
The farm will be hosting a special haunted hayride and maze on October 30 and 31.

Columbia Farms U-Pick
Start date: October 2
While you won’t find hay rides and corn mazes at Columbia Farms, you will be treated to a quiet, quaint, working-farm experience. The farm offers a variety of pumpkins, gourds and squash.

Douglas Farms traditionally has a variety of pumpkins and squashes in the fall. They also have apple picking available by reservation only.
