Black Cat Appreciation Day: Adoption Fees Waived at HSSW

Are you looking to add a new furry family member to your household? Head to Humane Society of Southwest Washington on Black Cat Appreciation Day. 

Each year, HSSW provides thousands of pets with shelter, medical care, behavior support, and a second chance at a happy life. The local humane society also offers adoption specials throughout the year to help pets find their forever homes.

Here’s the adoption special taking place this week. 

Black Cat Appreciation Day at Humane Society of Southwest Washington

Black Cat Appreciation Day is August 17, 2022. On Wednesday from 2-6 p.m., adoption fees are waived for all black and black and white cats and kittens. Bring your whole family or roommates with you to the Vancouver humane society to find your new feline companion.

Your adoption includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip ID and national registration, select vaccinations, and coupons for treats and toys.

Animal licenses are required at the time of adoption and are not included in adoption fees. Licensing fees vary by county. For Multnomah County, it is $15. 

Make sure you bring a carrier with you to take your new feline friend home. The shelter also has carriers you can buy.
