Have Your (Pan)cake and Eat It Too
I don’t know about you, but I am getting pretty sick of paying $15 per plate for brunch in Portland. That’s why I went on a mission to scope out the tastiest cheap brunch and breakfast spots in Portland. I found the top 5 that you definitely should try. Your wallet will thank you.
Stop overpaying for brunch and indulge in Portland’s most budget friendly brunch.
Pine State Biscuits
If you can wait through the long line, Pine State Biscuits has wonderful $7 or less brunch options, such as the biscuits and gravy, The Regina, build your own breakfast sandwich, wedge salad and homemade corndog. If you’re looking for the best deal, get one of their delicious biscuits with your choice of spread for only $4. Stop by the NE Alberta St or SE Division St location.
Eisenhower Bagelhouse
Bagel lovers rejoice! This place has the most heavenly bagels—and breakfast smells. Their housemade bagels are vegan, except for the ones with cheesy goodness on top. Bagel sandwiches are priced as low as $4.75.
Gateway Breakfast House
If you like hearty portions, this is the place for you. Get a giant pancake for $3.75 , or a homestyle waffle for $3.50. Throw a little protein in there with a $1 egg. Almost all the options at this breakfast spot are under $10. You can’t go wrong.
Anna Bannanas Cafe
Yes, I spelled that correctly. All breakfast items on the menu are less than $10. This cafe is located in St Johns, it is the perfect place to get out and stretch your legs after breakfast. Take a short walk down to Cathedral Park under the St Johns Bridge and a short drive up the Kelley Point Park.
The Pancake Underground
This place is a best kept secret breakfast food cart. Where else can you get gourmet pancakes for $5 in Portland? Seems too good to be true, and I like that. Choose between sweet or savory cakes, and don’t forget the bourbon maple syrup. Yum!
