The downtown Vancouver business is a low-waste, bulk refillery for your home and personal care needs. You bring your own containers to fill up with a variety of household goods. In addition to bulk products, the local shop sells low-waste and sustainably made home goods, secondhand and vintage items, and locally made artwork.

This shop also hosts a lot of events throughout the month. One upcoming event gives you a chance to swap your old clothes and find a new outfit.

Never been to a clothing swap? If you’ve always had an affinity for hand-me-downs, make sure you attend this clothing swap.

In line with Kindred Homestead Supply’s mission, a clothing swap is community event where participants exchange their clothing for something new to them. This is a great way to freshen up your wardrobe while giving your old clothes new life in another person’s closet.

Here’s how the event works:

If you have clothing to exchange, bring your gently used clothes to Kindred Homestead Supply before the event. To make it easier for staff to organize, bring your items sorted by size and article of clothing. The shop does not accept used underwear, socks, kids clothes and damaged or stained clothes.

Next, get ready to attend the event and shop! Feel free to take what you need or want. There will be fitting rooms so you can try on before you take it home.

Keep in mind, you do not need to donate clothing to this event to participate. So if you miss the clothing donation deadline, you are still welcome to attend the event.

This event is free. Monetary donations are accepted. There is no minimum clothing donation to participate, and no maximum clothing limit when attending. Drop off items if you can and take what you like.
