Spend an evening celebrating and learning on Indigenous Peoples Day at Tryon Creek State Natural Area.
Located in Southwest Portland, Tryon Creek is one of Portland’s best urban parks. This beautiful natural area is a great example of our temperate rainforest climate: trees covered in moss with huge ferns lining the trails that lead to the creek. Each week, Tryon Creek volunteers host free themed guided hikes.

2023 Indigenous Peoples Day at Tryon Creek
The Indigenous Peoples Day event is Monday, October 9, from 5-7 p.m. at Tryon Creek. This is an all ages, free event.
Activities planned for the event include:
- Crafts in the classroom.
- Guided hike.
- Traditional salmon bake.
