Join the local Asian American Pacific Islander community at this one-of-a-kind night market and cultural celebration. The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival hosts a night of food, activities and performances.
The event is hosted by White Lotus Foundation, a local nonprofit committed to supporting and empowering individuals in the AAPI community.

2023 Mid-Autumn Moon Festival
The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival is Saturday, September 30, from 3 to 10 p.m. This is a cultural event celebrated by many Asian communities around the world. It falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month when the moon is at its fullest and brightest.
Enjoy live entertainment, games for the kids, and an opportunity to meet your favorite local AAPI businesses at the festival. There are lantern processions, moon gazing, storytelling and performances showcasing traditional music and dance.
Here’s the performance schedule:
- 3:30 p.m. Opening remarks
- 4 p.m. Lion dance performance
- 5 p.m. Traditional dance by PACC
- 6 p.m. Wushu performance
- 6:30 p.m. Taiko Portland drum show
- 7 p.m. Free paper lanterns are handed out to kids 12 and under.
- 7:30 p.m. Closing remarks
- 8 p.m. Dinh family song
- 8:30 p.m. Paper lantern parade
More than 65 vendors are selling delicious food and homemade goods.
The family-friendly event is free to attend. Food, drinks and goods are available for purchase. If you want to skip the line, you can buy a $10 fast pass.
The event is at Shun Fat Supermarket, 5253 SE 82nd Ave. in Portland. Parking is available in the East and South sides of the supermarket. Additional parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.
