Explore new cultures in a fun, creative setting at the Multicultural Kids Festival.
The event is hosted by the Slavic Community Center of NW, Inc. The local nonprofit helps its community members succeed in America through various programs and services. The organization hosts this annual event to promote unity in diversity by educating, entertaining, and connecting families from all walks of life.
This weekend, the festival celebrates our city’s diversity through family-friendly fun.
2023 Multicultural Kids Festival
The Multicultural Kids Festival is Sunday, August 20, from 12 to 6 p.m. at Ventura Park. The free festival brings together kids and adults from different communities for an opportunity to explore cultures, try foods from around the globe and learn about traditions.
The event is focused on cultural music, dance, fashion and talents. There will be kids activities, including a bounce house, petting zoo and crafts along with vendors, live entertainment and immersive activities.
Performances include:
- Winnie Chinese Dance: Representing traditional Chinese folk dances from diverse regions.
- Anjali and the Kid: Showcasing the energetic world of Bhangra and Bollywood.
- White Lotus Dance Group: Delivering spellbinding dragon and lion dances.
- Casa De La Cultura: Introducing traditional Mexican dances from various states.
- Chervona: Blending Gypsy, Russian, Ukrainian, Klezmer, and Balkan musical traditions.
