Get ready to celebrate this delicious American classic. National Cheeseburger Day is on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Portland area restaurants are celebrating this holiday by passing on some great deals to customers.

2025 National Cheeseburger Day Deals
Applebee’s
On September 18, customers can enjoy one of three handcrafted burgers (Classic Burger, Classic Cheeseburger or Classic Bacon Cheeseburger) with fries for $8.99 at Applebee’s. This deal is available for dine in, on the website and restaurant’s app.
There are eight Applebee’s locations in and around Portland.
Burgerville
On Thursday, September 18, 2025, swing by Burgerville for an original cheeseburger for only $1.99 each. And it doesn’t stop at just one. You can get 10 original cheeseburgers per transaction.
Burgerville’s original cheeseburger comes with a small patty, American cheese, Burgerville spread and ketchup.
Burger King
On National Cheeseburger Day, Burger King is giving its Royal Perks loyalty members a free Whopper Jr. with a minimum purchase of $1. The offer is only available via order placed on the BK website or BK app.
The Burger King Whopper Jr. features a flame-grilled beef patty topped with fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, tangy pickles and crunchy onions topped with mayo and ketchup and served on a toasted sesame seed bun.
Dairy Queen
On National Cheeseburger Day, Dairy Queen is serving up a free Double Original Cheeseburger Stackburger with any app or online order of $1 or more. This deal is available September 15-19, 2025, to existing and new DQ rewards members.
The Double Signature Stackburger features two seasoned beef patties, topped with perfectly melted Sharp American cheese, pickles, ketchup and mustard served on a soft and toasted bun.
Elephants Delicatessen
On Thursday, Elephants Delicatessen serves up a $12 cheeseburger and fries deal at all Elephants locations, except Flying Elephants at Fox Tower.

Cheeseburgers are served with a quarter pound of Cascade Farms natural beef cooked to medium, with your choice of cheese, shredded lettuce, red onion, pickles and lbb catsup on a brioche bun.

MidCity SmashedBurger
On September 18, visit any of MidCity SmashedBurger‘s Portland locations for a $5 Smashy Boi.
This burger features two 1/4 lb. all beef patties, American cheese and SmashSauce on a Martin’s potato roll.
