After nearly three decades of outfitting the Pacific Northwest for outdoor fun, Next Adventure is going out of business. Visit the iconic locations and cash in on some great deals before the doors are closed.

What started in 1997 by childhood friends Deek and Bryan as a little shop selling used gear and closeouts has grown into a beloved Portland institution.

From kayaks and climbing ropes to snowboards and camp stoves, Next Adventure has been the go-to for adventurers of every type.

After 28 years, the founders are retiring and with them, all four Next Adventure locations are closing.

But before the final paddle hits the water or the last sleeping bag is rolled up, there’s one last adventure for all of us: the going out of business sale.

Starting May 28, everything in-store is up to 75% off. This is your chance to score deep discounts on trusted outdoor gear.

An official close date as not been announced, so visit early to stock up on all your outdoor equipment needs. Whether you’re a seasoned mountaineer, a weekend camper or just gearing up for your next disc golf tournament, there’s something for you.

• Free parking at Miller Paint lots:
  • SE Oak St. and SE Grand Ave.
  • SE Pine St. and SE Grand Ave.
• Paid street parking is available nearby
• Hotel Grand Stark valet: $10/hour, $30 max
• Streetcar B stops right at SE Grand Ave. & Stark St.
