Fill your home with a beautiful bouquet you built yourself from local flowers. Peonies are in bloom at Columbia Farms.
This Sauvie Island farm is one of the many you-pick farms you can enjoy this spring and summer. Columbia Farms prides itself on creating a quiet, quaint, working-farm experience. You can’t miss the big white barn with a green roof.
The farm started in the early 1990s with a one-acre strawberry field. Now they offer more than fifteen different types of berries, peonies, pumpkins and all types of fall décor items.
Here’s an update on the farm’s peonies.
Build a Bouquet of Peonies at Columbia Farms
This week, head out to Sauvie Island and create your very own peony bouquet. You’ll have two options: pre-cut and pick your own.
Available Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Under the farm’s gazebo, you’ll find a variety of pre-cut peonies. The price is $2 per stem. Payment via Venmo or cash is available. This is a self service, contactless payment station.
This is the final weekend of you-pick peonies. The you-pick field is open Saturday, June 11, and Sunday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The price has been lowered to $1.50 per stem.
You’ll check in at the market before making the 5-minute walk to the peony field. Bring your own clippers, bucket and a pair of shoes that can handle a bit of mud.
The farm also has you-pick strawberries available all weekend.
The farm is located at 21024 NW Gillihan Rd. For more information, visit Columbia Farm’s website.
