For all my fellow book lovers out there whose stack of unread novels is getting a little low, there is hope in sight! These Portland independent bookstores are offering delivery and curbside pickup.
Some stores show their inventory online while others encourage you to call and they’ll browse their stacks based on your interests. Best of all, you will be helping these small businesses stay afloat during this time.
Please note that these book shops are working hard to fulfill your orders as quickly as possible. Don’t be that person who calls them every few hours demanding an update. Just kick back, relax and feel good about supporting a local business. Your books will be available soon.

Portland Bookstore Delivery and Curbside Pickup
Annie Bloom’s Books
Annie Bloom’s Books, located at 7834 S.W. Capitol Hwy., is offering delivery and curbside pickup. If you want curbside pickup, you’ll have the option to choose it during checkout. Standard shipping fees apply to delivery. Browse available books and place your order online or give them a call at (503) 246-0053.

Broadway Books
Located at 1714 N.E. Broadway, Broadway Books has online book ordering available and is offering curbside pickup. You can choose to have books shipped to you for a standard shipping fee or curbside pickup during checkout. If you choose pickup, they will contact you as soon as your order is ready.
Powell’s Books
After laying off their people, Powell’s Books has come to its senses and hired back 100 employees to fulfill online orders. They are offering free shipping on orders of $25 or more. Start by browsing their book inventory online.
Wallace Books
The small book shop at 7241 S.E. Milwaukie Ave. is offering local deliveries, free shipping via USPS media mail and curbside pickup. Call (503) 235-7350 or message them on Facebook to place your order.
Children’s Bookstores
A Children’s Place
The specialty bookstore located at 1423 N.E. Fremont St. is offering curbside pickup and delivery within a 2-mile radius of the store. If these options don’t work for you, they are also willing to mail them to you. Call (503) 284-8294 between 10 a.m.-5 p.m. for book recommendations and to place your order.
Green Bean Books
Located at 1600 N.E. Alberta St., the children’s bookstore is offering curbside service or delivery to your door if you live on the Eastside within a reasonable distance to the store. Booksellers will be working from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day to offer recommendations. Call (503) 954-2354 or fill out the contact form on their website.
