The show must go on, from a safe distance. For more than 100 years, Portland Rose Festival has been our city’s signature celebration. With roses as the centerpiece, spectacular floats, bands, and community groups come together to entertain hundreds of thousands of parade goers every spring.
In 2021, the Rose Festival will once again evolve these traditions by finding new ways to celebrate community spirit and resilience.
Portland Rose Festival is hosting Porch Parade, a new at-home celebration our entire city can partake in from home for free.

Stroll through your neighborhood or take a drive to another area of Portland to see the homes participating in the Porch Parade. Displays will be up from May 31 through June 13.

Participate in the Porch Parade
Show your Rose Festival spirit by decorating your front porch. Choose one of their themes as inspiration or go wild with your own ideas to bring a smile to your friends and neighbors.
You can even win fun prizes. Three households participating in the 2021 Rose Festival Porch Parade will win a pair of Alaska Airlines tickets by decorating their homes in the style of the festival’s three premiere parades listed below.
Don’t have a porch? No problem! Decorate your lawn, the sidewalk, a window, business front or any place visible from the street or sidewalk.
2021 Porch Parade Categories
