Enjoy a weekend of discovery, inspiration and fun at the 40th annual Spring Garden Fair.
The spring event, hosted by the Clackamas County Master Gardener Association, has been held the weekend before Mother’s Day since 1984. What started as a small fuchsia sale has grown into a two-day fair with hundreds of vendors, educational opportunities, family-friendly activities and more.
Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just starting out, this is a great event to learn something new and gather supplies and plants.
Here are the details about the 2024 event.
Spring Garden Fair at Clackamas County Event Center
The Spring Garden Fair is May 4-5, 2024. Peruse more than 100 vendors selling all the items you need to help your garden flourish.
Here’s what you can find at the event:
Garden Plants and Supplies
Explore a wide variety of annuals, perennials and specialty plants. All the plants for sale are carefully chosen to thrive in the Pacific Northwest climate.
Also, personalize your garden space with specialized gardening supplies, tools and garden art crafted by local artisans. This event also has a silent auction and raffle.
Get your hands dirty at the potting station, featuring new pots and experts to help you pot up your new plant finds.
There are plant taxis and a free plant check to make your shopping easy. Students tow for tips as you shop the event. Then you can pick up at the plant check where all your items are securely stored and ready for purchase.
Education
A gardening event wouldn’t be complete without a few tips and ideas to make your indoor and outdoor spaces flourish. Master Gardener volunteers are on hand to answer your questions and offer free personalized guidance.
Visit the 10-Minute University sessions covering a range of gardening topics. There’s also a free pH soil testing service.
Family Fun
This family-friendly event has children’s activities, interactive exhibits, entertainment and food samples at the Good Thyme Food Court.
Children can observe an ant farm, plant flowers and microgreens, make a planting bracelet, paint a sunflower and more.

Admission is $7 for one day and $12 for a two-day pass. Kids 16 and under attend for free. Parking is free. Hours are 9-5 p.m. on Saturday and 9-4 p.m. on Sunday.
