Zwickelmania: An Oregon Craft Beer Celebration

Beer lovers, mark your calendars! Zwickelmania returns, offering craft beer enthusiasts a unique behind-the-scenes look at the state’s vibrant brewing scene.

Organized by The Oregon Brewers Guild, this annual celebration brings together more than 50 breweries from across the state, inviting Oregonians to explore new brews, meet the makers and enjoy special tastings—all for free!

Here’s how you can join the fun in and around Portland. 

Celebrate Oregon Craft Beer at Zwickelmania

On Saturday, February 22, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Portland breweries are hosting special events and activities during Zwickelmania.

What is Zwickelmania? Named after the “zwickel,” a sample port on fermentation vessels, Zwickelmania offers attendees the chance to taste beers directly from the source, learn about the brewing process and discover exclusive releases. In addition, there are many fun activities for beer lovers and everyone in between. 

Here are the activities at participating breweries in the Portland area: 

Free Shuttle

Hop on the free shuttle bus visiting more than a dozen NE/SE breweries. Stops include:

Anniversary Celebration

The 11th anniversary StormBreaker Brewing celebration includes new releases, grab-and-go bites and a barrel-aged bottle ring toss for a chance to win rare barrel-aged beers and more.

Tours and Giveaways

Double Mountain Brewery & Cider Portland locations host tours and freebies.

Music and Comedy

Gigantic Brewing hosts live music and an evening comedy show hosted by Ben Love along with barrel aged beers. 

DJ and Food Specials 

Migration Brewing celebrates its 15th anniversary with live music/DJ, a specialty food menu and a variety of cellared beers.

Raffles and Tours

Threshold Brewing keeps the fun rolling with raffle, tours, special pours and Cousins Maine Lobster on site.

Gluten-Free Beer and DD Special

Ground Breaker Brewing serves up special gluten-free beer options along with a $5 chili special and free root beer for designated drivers.

Pickles and Beer

Woman-owned Leikam Brewing releases a new beer paired with a special pickle flight.

Special Tour 

Enjoy a rare opportunity to tour the Deschutes Portland Brewhouse along with tasty pub exclusives.

Explore Outside Portland

Take a drive to Tigard where Cooper Mountain Ale Works pours tasters of its collaborative West Side IPA. In Beaverton, Binary Brewing offers samples from beers currently in production.
