The Chelatchie Prairie Railroad invites veterans and their families to embark on a unique journey during Veterans Day weekend. 

A 1941 diesel locomotive transports passengers through scenic northern Clark County from Yacolt to Moulton Falls and back. 

Chelatchie Prairie Railroad event joins the ranks of several Veterans Day deals in and around Portland.

Veterans Day Weekend Train Ride on the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad

In honor of Veterans Day, Chelatchie Prairie Railroad is offering a special deal for those who served our country. On November 11 and 12, hop aboard for an unforgettable train ride through picturesque landscapes.

The journey begins at the Yacolt station, where the 1941 Alco diesel engine will set the wheels in motion. Passengers will enjoy the scenic views from one of two cabooses or the comfortable coach car. The train will traverse through a 330-foot solid rock tunnel, creating an immersive experience for all aboard.

The journey includes a stop at Moulton Station, providing passengers with a chance to explore the beautiful surroundings and visit Yacolt Falls. It’s an ideal time to stretch your legs, take in the fresh air and appreciate the natural wonders of the area.

What makes this trip extra special is veterans get a complimentary ride with the purchase of another adult ticket.

Here are the ticket prices for this event: 

• Adults: $20
• Seniors: $19
• Children (3-12): $14
• Lap Child (under 3): Free

Chelatchie Prairie Railroad’s Veterans Day weekend event hosts multiple train rides. On November 11 and 12, the train departs at noon and 2:30 p.m.
