McMenamins Celebrates 25th Anniversary at Kennedy School

Celebrate the long history of Kennedy School as a Northeast Portland institution this weekend. 

Kennedy School has a 107-year history in Portland. This year also marks the 25th anniversary since McMenamins revitalized the property. 

Head to the historic location for a special anniversary party open to all. 

McMenamins Celebrates 25th Anniversary at Kennedy School

On Saturday, November 12, attend Kennedy School’s anniversary complete with birthday cake, food and drink specials, a one-time birthday beer, tours and cheap movies. 

Here’s the schedule:

All day: Passport discovery hunt.

12-4 p.m. History display and walking tour in the Jordan Room. 

1-9:30 p.m. ‘90s movies in the theater.

Go back in time with $2 movies in the theater. 

• 1 p.m. Liar Liar
• 3:30 p.m. Men in Black
• 6:30 p.m. The Fifth Element
• 9:30 p.m. Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery

3-6 p.m. Face painting.

3-9 p.m. Live music in the gym.

• 3-5 p.m. Far Out West, a funk-infused rock and jazz-informed collaboration 
• 6-9 p.m. Super Secret Band, self-proclaimed rock fangs, jazz horns and a powerful rhythm group
