Soak in that sweet pine smell at Christmas tree farms and lots around Portland.
Nothing rings in the holiday season quite like the smell of a fresh cut Christmas tree. We’re fortunate to live in an area where trees are plentiful and grow by the foot. It also means there are plenty of options for Christmas tree farms and lots in Portland. Find the perfect tree at a location near you.
While you’re in the holiday spirit, plan a night to visit the must-see holiday light displays in Portland. Drive through the sparking displays at the Oregon Zoo or see our rivers come to life with decorative ships.

After you find the perfect tree or wreath, there are some simple steps you can take to help your greenery shine throughout the season.
Tree and wreath care tips
- Keep your tree watered at all times.
- Do not put trees near heat sources.
- Mist your wreath with water daily.
Most of the Christmas tree farms and lots include shaking, baling and twine to help you secure the three to your car. They’ll also supply saws for cutting your desired tree.
Many of these Christmas tree farms and lots in and around Portland are open while supplies last. This year, some tree farms have limited inventory due to drought conditions that compromised the trees this summer. I recommend scouting out a farm now and planning what your visit early. Make sure you check their website for the most up-to-date information. Masks are required.
