Drive-In Movies at the Portland Expo Center

Spend a summer evening enjoying one of your favorite films at the Portland Expo Center’s drive-in movie nights. 

The 7th Annual PDX Drive-In Movie Spectacular is taking place Thursday-Saturday this summer. The movie line-up features cult classics, family favorites and timeless treasures from beloved filmmakers.

You can choose between two different ticket options. Walk, take the MAX, or bike to the Expo Center and you’ll pay $10 per person. The MAX Yellow Line drops off at the Expo Center. If you are biking you can take the Columbia Slough Trail down to Expo Road, which is a straight shot to the event. Make sure you pack a seat. Or choose the traditional drive-in experience with a carload ticket that gives you admission for up to 5 people for $40. 

Space for car parking is limited so plan on buying your tickets online before you go. Day-of car tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Gates open at 7 p.m. If you purchased tickets online, make sure you arrive by 8:15 to guarantee your spot.

When you arrive, you will line up at the main gate to have your digital ticket scanned. Then staff will direct you to the next available parking space. Large vehicles will be required to park at the back to maintain sight lines of the screen for all attendees.

Each night will include a live music. The movie starts at 8:30 p.m. 

A professional sound system will be set up throughout the event space and available via FM signal. So whether you are watching from inside or outside a vehicle, you’ll be able to hear the movie. 

Food and beverages will be available at the event for purchase. Unfortunately, this drive-in does not allow outside food and beverage.
