Celebrate music and expression at the East Portland Summer Arts Festival.
The event is part of Portland Parks and Recreation’s Summer Free For All program, including Washington Park Summer Festival, Movies in the Park, Concerts in the Park, and other free special events across the city.
Here are the details about this new summer event.
East Portland Summer Arts Festival
The East Portland Summer Arts Festival is July 8-9, 2023 from 4-8:30 p.m. This festival is free and open to all.
The festival celebrates black excellence with music and dance performances, a movie, and arts activities for all ages.
On Saturday, arts activities for all ages start at 4 p.m. A free screening of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is at 6 p.m. along with a performance by Sebé Kan Youth African Dance.
On Sunday, arts activities for all ages start at 4 p.m. The event headliner is PJ Morton, the multiple Grammy Award-winning keyboardist for Maroon 5. He performs at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
