Take a drive to the Oregon Garden Resort for the annual Silverton Christmas Market, featuring a dazzling light display, German inspired market and family-friendly activities.
This beloved holiday tradition has taken place for more than a decade. Now held at the Oregon Garden Resort, the event incorporates a walk-through light display with the charm of a German Christmas market.
Here are the details about the 2022 event:
2022 Silverton Christmas Market
The Silverton Christmas Market is taking place November 25-January 1 from 5-9 p.m. The event is closed December 24 and 25. Guests get to stroll along a one-way path draped in one million lights. The light displays range from immersive storybook creations to magical lit paths with trees full of brilliant lights. Around each bend is a new delight and many designated photo areas for you to snap a memorable pic with family and friends.
Along the route is a traditional German Christmas Market with handmade gifts. At the market, you can sip on warm gluhwein or cocoa by a fire, take a ride down the snowless tubing hill or listen to live music in the Biergarten.
At the market, you’ll find authentic German goods, including with collectible mugs, lebkuchen (gingerbread hearts), imported handcrafted German nutcrackers, smokers and ornaments along with local handmade creations.
The holiday event also has a full lineup of live music in the family-friendly biergarten every night. Carolers will also be singing throughout the market on select evenings.
Santa will be at the event for pictures and meet and greets from 5-8:30 p.m. on November 25-December 23. You may also catch a glimpse of Santa’s counterpart, Krampus.
To eat, choose from traditional German foods and family favorites along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
