Celebrate Hispanic culture through music, food and community at the 2023 El Festival de Mariachi.
The festival honoring Hispanic Heritage Month is hosted by Unitus Community Credit Union. Here’s what is in store at this free event:
2023 El Festival de Mariachi
The festival is Sunday, September 24, from noon to 6 p.m. This culturally vibrant and family-friendly event is free to attend.
The event features local entertainment, delicious food and drinks, and a marketplace.
You’ll get a front-row seat to performances by local Mariachi bands and Hispanic groups including:
- Ollin Yolliztli PDX
- PSU Royal Rosa
- Gemanereida Music
- Mariachi México En La Piel
- Ballet Folklorico Mexico en la Piel
Local vendors will offer lots of tasty savory and sweet food items, including tacos, drinks, and snacks and desserts.
The marketplace has a variety of toys, clothing items and crafts that showcase the richness of Mexican culture. Community-based organizations will be at the event to connect the community with local resources.
The festival is taking place at Ron Tonkin Field, 4460 Northeast Century Blvd in Hillsboro. Parking is free. For more information, visit the Facebook event.
