Where are all my rockhounds at? The Clackamette Mineral and Gem Club’s annual Gem and Mineral Show is taking place Memorial Day weekend.
The local club is a community of people who enjoy educating and sharing in many areas of expertise, including geology, rockhounding, mineral collection, lapidary and jewelry arts.
Here are the details about the 2024 show:
2024 Gem and Mineral Show
The Gem and Mineral Show invites rock enthusiasts of all ages and from all walks of life to come together under one roof for the annual event. It is taking place May 25-26, 2024.
Here are the activities you can enjoy at the show:

- Fluorescent show
- Door prizes
- Display cases
- Silent auction
- Kids activities
- Vendor booths
- Bargain rock sale
- Guess the weight rock
- Snack bar
The special florescent rock show lets you see a rainbow of glowing rocks, minerals and fossils, and learn what causes some rocks to fluoresce. The show schedule is 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 .m. on Saturday and 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Demonstrators will have equipment, tools, and supplies for you to view and ask questions. There is also demonstrations.
Nineteen vendors will be onsite displaying a variety of rocks, minerals and fossils for sale.
The Gem and Mineral Show is Saturday, May 25, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is free to attend. Parking is also free.
