Edgefield Oktoberfest

From September to October, crowds will pack beer halls and streets to celebrate Oktoberfest in Germany. Thankfully, you don’t have to go on an international trip to partake in this Bavarian tradition. Portland Oktoberfests are plentiful and offer a variety of activities for all ages.

At Oktoberfests in and around Portland, you’ll enjoy tasty brats and pretzels, traditional dancing and activities, and, of course, lots of beer. Each event has an entry fee. Some include drink tokens and activities in the ticket price. Other events have food, beer and other beverages available for an additional cost. 

Grab your Lederhosen and be transported straight to Munich without leaving the Portland area.

2024 Portland Oktoberfests

Bethany Village Oktoberfest

September 7 | 1-6 p.m.

Head to Bethany Village for German-inspired live music, intermission acts, a carnival ride, local vendors, kids activities, a stein holding competition and beer tent. 

The Bethany Village Oktoberfest is free to attend. Food and drinks are available for purchase. The event takes place at Bethany Village Centre Plaza, 4720 NW Bethany Blvd. in Portland.

Mount Angel Oktoberfest

September 12-15 | hours vary

One of the longest standing, most beloved folk festivals in the northwest, the Mount Angel Oktoberfest is celebrating its 59th festival. The event features eight entertainment venues along with food booths, an arts and crafts show and entertainment for the whole family. 

Tickets range from $10-20, depending on the day you visit. There are also many free activities for all ages. The event takes place in Mount Angel, Oregon. 

General admission is $25 for adults. Designated driver and minor, ages 13-20, admission is $10. 

The event is at Abrams Park, 400 Abrams Park Road in Ridgefield.

Elktoberfest

September 20-21 |4-10 p.m.

Vancouver Elks Lodge #823 is hosting Elktoberfest, a community gathering of brew, brats and bands. Enjoy local craft beer, traditional German fare and local bands. There’s also a vendor marketplace and kids carnival games. 

Admission is $10. The Vancouver Elks 823 is located at 11605 SE McGillivray Blvd. in Vancouver.

Portland Oktoberfest

September 20-21 | Hours vary

The heart of the city is transforming into Munich’s favorite festival. Portland Oktoberfest offers Bavarian delights, full steins, a tattoo booth, costume contests, friendly competitions and more. 

This is a 21+ event. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. General admission includes six drink tickets. 

Portland Oktoberfest is at Pioneer Courthouse Square, 701 SW 6th Ave. in Portland.

Oaks Park Oktoberfest

September 20-22 | Times vary

Head to Portland’s amusement park for a full day of family-friendly festival fun. Aside from the great beer and food, activities will include wiener dog races, cooking shows, tons of fun for kids and performances in the festhalles. 

Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for kids. Oaks Park is at 7805 SE Oaks Park Way in Portland.

Goose Hollow Oktoberfest

September 21 | 12-11 p.m.

Goose Hollow’s Oktoberfest is hosted by The Civic Taproom. Along with brews, there are food vendors onsite and raffle prizes for attendees. This event is 21+ and dogs are welcome. 

Tickets are $30, and include 12 four-ounce tasters. The Civic Taproom is at 621 SW 19th Ave. in Portland.

OrenKoFest

September 21 | 12-7 p.m.

OrenKoFest features vendors and artisans, a beer garden by Golden Valley Brewery and live music. Enjoy activities for children and fall-themed photo opportunities.

There’s also German music, German food and a beer stein holding contest at 3:30 p.m.

Here’s the entertainment schedule:

• 12 to 2 pm: Alder Street Band
• 2:30 to 4:30 pm: Z Musikmakers
• 3:30 to 4 pm: Masskrugstemmen Contest
• 5 to 7 pm: Ants in the Kitchen

The event is at Jerry Willey Plaza at Orenco Station, 943 NE Orenco Station Loop in Hillsboro. 

Edgefield Oktoberfest

September 22 | All day

You’ll have a wundervoll time at the Edgefield Oktoberfest, with food specials, live music and beer, food and a plant sale. The event hosts roaming live music. 

This event is free attend. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Edgefield is located at 2126 SW Halsey St. in Troutdale.

Prost! Oktoberfest

September 27-29 | All day

Head to Portland’s favorite German pub of Oktoberfest. Under the Prost! Oktoberfest‘s big tent, you’ll find beer, food and music. The performance schedule will be announced soon.

Admission is free. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Prost! is open 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. and is located at 4237 N Mississippi Ave. Portland.

Forest Grove Oktoberfest

September 28 | 12-7 p.m.

This family-friendly event has two stages, food, multiple beer vendors, artisans, carnival games, contests and prizes. The Forest Grove Oktoberfest has lots of fun contests including weiner dog races, a costume contest, stein holding and hot dog eating contest. 

The Forest Grove Oktoberfest is free to attend. Food and beverages are available for purchase. The event takes place at 21st Ave and Main St. in Forest Grove. 

Oktoberfest Celebration

September 28 | 12-9 p.m.

Olympia Provisions is teaming up with Alpenrausch to host a fun-filled Oktoberfest Celebration, including food, live Polka music, games and beer. Activities include steinholding contests, hammerschalegen, kids water balloon toss and face painting. Arrive in Liederhosen and spin the wheel to win a prize.

The $15 ticket price includes two $6 tokens redeemable toward food or drinks. Alpenrausch is at 3384 Southeast Division Street in Portland.

Kennedy School Oktoberfest Brewfest

September 28 | 1-7 p.m.

Raise your glass as you dance the Polka at the 8th annual brewfest. Indulge in German fare at McMenamins Kennedy School in Portland while you celebrate with German-style craft beers and ciders, live music and themed food.

Music in the gym includes Joshua August Rivera from 2-4 p.m. and Jay Si Proof from 4:30 -6:30 p.m. 

Pay $28 in advance for 10 tokens and a festival glass. The price is $30 at the door.

McMenamins Kennedy School is at 5736 NE 33rd Ave. in Portland.

Estacada Oktoberfest

September 28 | 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

The Estacada Oktoberfest hosts family-friendly activities, including pumpkin painting, bike decorating and pie eating. Adults can enjoy Polka music along with traditional food and beer.

The event is free to attend. Food and drinks are available for purchase. 

The event is held in downtown Estacada, 1 SE 3rd Ave. in Estacada.

Pine Street Market’s Oktoberfest

October 4-6 | 12-8 p.m.

The downtown market has a selection of German-style beers, a full bar and all seven market food vendors. Portland’s Oktoberfest tickets are $30 in person. Admission includes 12 tasters. One ticket equals a beer taster. Four tasters equal one beer.

The event is at Pine Street Market, 126 Southwest 2nd Ave. in Portland.
