2023 World Arts Foundation’s Martin Luther King Tribute
On Monday, January 16, from 1-4 p.m. celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. with the World Arts Foundation. The historic event showcases Oregon’s black community celebrating MLK Day.
This family-friendly event has inspiring speakers and performances as well as a special marketplace.
Performances and speakers include:
- DaNell Daymon & Greater Works
- Senator Margaret Carter
- Alonzo Chadwick
- Arietta Ward
Lifetime achievement awards will be presented to Dr. Shon Neyland, Lakayana Drury, Candace Avalos, David Ferguson and Dr. Steven Holt.
The event’s Victory Village marketplace will have vendors, regional agencies and artists.
Masking is required for entry. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $5 or five cans of nonperishable food items.
