Sparrowhawk Native Plants will be hosting a fall native plant sale with more than 70 species available for purchase. This local company provides eco-minded gardeners in the Portland and Vancouver area with habitat-friendly and climate-resilient plants that support healthy ecosystems.
The fall native plant sale will have online ordering and three pickup options to choose from. Sparrowhawk boasts an inventory of plants up to 25 percent cheaper than you’ll find as other locations. Plus, each pickup event benefits a community organization.
You’ll be able peruse the expansive list of available plants and easily filter by sunlight and moisture levels as well as read educational plant profiles to find the right plants for your yard. Some species will be in limited supply.
How it works
Online ordering will be open from September 1-23. Preordering is required to get plants from the pickup events. During checkout, you will choose your pickup day and location. The no contact pickup events will be outdoors.
Sparrowhawk Native Plants will have no more than 10 staff and volunteers onsite at a time in spacious parking lots. All customers, staff and volunteers will maintain 6ft+ of social distance from each other, and are required to wear masks and gardening gloves at all times.
As customers arrive, they will grab a sanitized cart or wheelbarrow and move safely along a one-way path to retrieve their plants.
After all plants are retrieved, Sparrowhawk staff will perform a touch-free, social distancing double check to ensure the order is accurate. Once double-checked, customers will be good to go.

During checkout, you’ll choose from three convenient, outdoor, social-distancing pick-up locations. Each location benefits a different community organization.
