A group of Portland museums have banded together to offer free admission to educators. On select days this summer, educators can visit the museums to enjoy complimentary tickets and tours.
Here are the details for each participating museum along with the scheduled educator focused activities. All activities require you to RSVP in advance, which is noted below.

Free Admission for Educators at Portland Museums
From July 28-August 10, 2024, nine Portland museums are giving free admission to educators.
Check in at the ticketing counter at each museum and present your educator ID to receive one free ticket. You can go solo or have your family and friends buy a ticket to join you. Many of these museums offer free admission for kids.
Participating museums include the Aurora Colony Museum and Historical Society, Five Oaks Museum, Japanese American Museum of Oregon, Lan Su Chinese Garden, Maryhill Museum of Art, Oregon Historical Society, Pittock Mansion, Portland Art Museum and Portland Chinatown Museum.
Here are the details on how educators can participate at each location:
Aurora Colony Museum and Historical Society

the museums is open Monday–Saturday from 10 a.m.–5.p.m. and Sunday 12–5 p.m.
Attend the Aurora Colony Museum Stauffer-Will Farm Educator Tour and Overview on Wednesday, July 31, 1-3 p.m.

Five Oaks Museum

The museum is open Thursday–Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

Japanese American Museum of Oregon
411 NW Flanders Street
The museum is open Wednesday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
Attend educator tours on these dates:
- Tuesday, July 30, 1-2:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, August 6, 1-2:30 p.m.

Lan Su Chinese Garden

The. museum is open Monday–Sunday from 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Lan Su Chinese Garden Educator Tour followed by resource sharing and tea is on Friday, August 2, 1 p.m.–2:30 p.m.

The museum is open Monday–Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Maryhill Museum of Art Educator Tour and Refreshments followed by resource discussion is Saturday, August 10, 1 p.m.

Museum hours are Monday–Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
Oregon Historical Society Educator tours and resources events are on these dates:
- Tuesday, July 30, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
- Tuesday, August 6, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.

The museum is open Tuesday from 12 to 5 p.m. and Wednesday–Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Portland Art Museum

The museum is open Wednesday-Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
