Get your sensitive documents safely shredded and disposed of at these events happening throughout the Portland metro area.
Each event is free to attend and is open until the trucks and dumpsters are full.
Several events have a set quantity of documents you can bring for shredding. Be sure your papers are removed from binders and there are no other items in your box or bag of papers.

Paper Shredding Event at Kellogg Middle School
Think Real Estate and Guild Mortgage host the 5th annual paper shredding event in the South Tabor community. The event is Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Bring confidential papers, old bills, tax records and other sensitive document to be securely shredded on site. Feel free the drive through or walk up.
This event is free. Donations benefit Kellogg Middle School PTA.
Kellogg Middle School is at 3400 SE 69th Ave.
Free Document Shredding in Camas
Join the Camas Lions Club for a free community shred event at Riverview Bank (Camas Branch) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18.
Safely dispose of your sensitive documents—bank statements, medical records, old bills and more—which will be shredded on site.
Also, event organizers encourage participants to bring nonperishable food donations to benefit The Treasure House.
Shredding is free. Yet, if you’re feeling generous, make a donation Camas Lions’ community service projects.
Riverview Bank’s Camas Branch is at 450 NE Third Ave. in Camas.
Free Document Shredding and Canned Food Drive
The Tigard Police Department offers a free shred event at Tigard City Hall parking lot from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 25. The event is open from 9 a.m. to noon, or until trucks are full.
This is a drive through event and participants are asked to remain in their vehicles. Participants are limited to two standard paper grocery bags per car. A standard size is considered 12 x 7 x 17. Oversized bags are considered two containers. Only paper items are accepted. Remove garbage, binders, cardboard or anything else before you arrive.
Also, participants are required to bring at least two canned goods to donate to St. Vincent de Paul’s food pantry. Cash donations are also accepted.
The most needed items include canned tuna, chili, soup, peanut butter, canned fruit, canned vegetables and cereal.
Tigard City Hall parking lot is at 13125 SW Hall Blvd. in Tigard.
Tualatin Free Community Shred Day
Join the Gile Group for the 11th annual Shred Day in Tualatin. The event is Saturday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Here’s what you can expect:
- Free on-site document shredding.
- Hot dog plates for purchase.
- Music by the Tualatin High School band
- School donation opportunities.
Keep in mind, the shred truck cannot accept binders, spiral notebooks or CDs.
The event is at Living Savior Lutheran Church Parking Lot, 8740 SW Sagert St. in Tualatin.
Shred Day at Assistance League of Greater Portland
On Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to noon, stop by Assistance League of Greater Portland to dispose of sensitive documents during Shred Day.
Cash donations are encouraged.
Assistance League of Greater Portland is at 4000 SW 117th Ave. in Beaverton.
