Free. Beer. Hike. Those three words are bound to excite any Portlander. Sorry I can’t include the word “naked,” but that’s not part of the Beers Made By Walking program.
This esteemed organization offers FREE hikes with brewers in Portland, Bend and Seattle. On Wednesday, June 11, there’s a 4-mile hike scheduled from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., going from Newton to Waterline in the heart of Portland’s Forest Park. Learn about wild plants that are meant to inspire each walk’s guest brewer, this one from Southwest Portland’s Sasquatch Brewery.
Leader of the hike is Matt Wagoner of Forest Park Conservancy. Expect to learn a lot about edible and medicinal plants and about beer.
The hike is FREE but registration is required. Please sign up here. Hikes are scheduled for July, August and September. Check the schedule here.
