Need a fun activity for your family that won’t break the budget? Spend your Sunday at this free event that promotes childhood education.
The University of Portland is hosting Camp Read S’more, a free kids reading fair at the campus in North Portland. The event is hosted in the university’s indoor arena, called the Chiles Center. This event is open to your whole family and focuses on K-18 education.
Head to the campus for fun games, crafts, activities, and educational STEM booths. Best of all, every student gets to take home a free book of their choice from an extensive collection. Whether your kid is 5 or 17, there will be a book selection for them to choose from.
The free kids reading fair is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23. The University of Portland is located at 5000 N Willamette Blvd.
