For more than 100 years, the Portland Rose Festival has been a beloved celebration of our beautiful city. After two years of hosting virtually, the festival is back with tons of free and cheap activities your whole family can enjoy.
For three weeks, CityFair takes over the Portland waterfront with all your favorite fair features. Here’s how you can get free admission to this attraction.
Free Admission to Portland Rose Festival’s CityFair
At CityFair, you get access to a full festival of activities. Enjoy carnival rides, fair foods, interactive exhibits, and live entertainment on five stages.
The price of CityFair admission is $8 online and $10 at the gate. Kids age 6 and under get in for free with an adult. CityFair weekends include May 27-30, June 3-5 and June 10-12. Hours are 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
With admission, you also get access to free concerts, including Caribbean Night with Conjunto Alegre on June 3 at 6 p.m. and Norman Sylvester on June 12 at 2 p.m.
Here’s how you can get in to CityFair for free:
On Fridays, June 3 and June 10 from 12-5 p.m., you get free admission to CityFair. All you have to do is show up at the gate during that time frame and you’ll get in for free.
During TriMet’s Welcome Back Weekend, June 10-12, show your Hop card and get free entrance to CityFair.
Rip City Kids Club Members
Members of the Rip City Kids Club get free admission any day with proof of membership. The club is free to join.
Veterans and Military
Veterans, reservists and active military get in for free with proper identification.
Rose Festival Souvenir Pin
Buy and wear the 2022 Rose Festival Souvenir Pin for unlimited admission to CityFair. Pins are sold at the CityFair gate for $20, while supplies last.
