Thanksgiving is a time-honored tradition of coming together to share a bountiful feast. If you’re looking for a free hot meal, visit one of these local organization to enjoy a meal onsite or take it to go. These meals are available to everyone.

Where to Enjoy a Free Thanksgiving Dinner in Portland
Celebration Tabernacle Church
Thursday, November 24, from noon to 4 p.m.
The Proper Thanksgiving Feast-ival is a beloved Kenton tradition for 24 years. They’ve partnered with Po’Shines Cafe de la Soul to serve up a top-quality menu of traditional Thanksgiving favorites and innovative new dishes. There are vegetarian options, too.
The inclusive community experience also features music, entertainment and kids’ activities. It is hosted in a wheelchair-accessible space.

Meals On Us
Thursday, November 23, from 12-6 p.m.
Meals On Us is serving meals to go for families and individuals. Family meals feed four and include a roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and green bean casserole. Reserve your free meal pick up here. You do not have to register in advance for individual meals.
Meals can be picked up at 2818 NE Halsey St.
Portland Rescue Mission
Wednesday, November 22, from 5:45-7 p.m.
Portland Rescue Mission is serving turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Regular meal services are 7 a.m. breakfast and 6 p.m. dinner on Thursday, November 23.
Portland Rescue Mission’s Burnside Shelter is at 111 W. Burnside Street in Portland.
Prost! Portland
Thursday, November 23 at 6 p.m.
Every year, Prost! Portland serves a free Thanksgiving meal. Visitors are encouraged to bring their favorite dessert or side dish to share. Food is available while supplies last.

Union Gospel Mission
Thursday, November 23, at 10 a.m.-noon
Union Gospel Mission is serving a Thanksgiving meal for dine in or meal to go. Dine in or take your meal to go.
The meal is served at 3 NW 3rd Ave. in Portland.
