Use your MAX ticket to score free zoo admission
Lions, tiger and bears. Oh my! See them all on Tuesday, August 8, for FREE at the Oregon Zoo. The first 1,000 visitors who take the MAX light rail to the zoo will get free admission.
To receive your free zoo admission, show your MAX ticket at the zoo ticket stand. This promotion falls on the same day as the zoo’s popular discount program. On the second Tuesday of every month, visitors pay only $4 for admission.
On many days during the summer, the zoo parking lot is full by 11 a.m. This promotion is meant to encourage you and your friends to leave your cars at home and take the MAX, which drops you off a short walking distance from the zoo entrance.
While visiting the zoo, see everything the park has to offer on the Explore Washington Park free shuttle.
