Experience Tryon Creek State Natural Area after sunset during a guided full moon hike in Portland on Sunday, October 25. This evening walk offers a chance to explore the forest as daylight fades, learn about local wildlife and connect with fellow nature lovers.
Hosted by Friends of Tryon Creek, the hike celebrates the changing seasons with a walk through one of Portland’s favorite urban forests.
October Full Moon Hike at Tryon Creek
The guided hike typically follows a 1.5-mile loop from the Nature Center down to Tryon Creek and back. Along the way, participants will stop to observe the forest, discuss seasonal changes and learn about the plants and wildlife that call Tryon Creek home.
The hike itself usually lasts about an hour, although the route may vary depending on the group size.
This event is open to Friends of Tryon Creek members and the general public. Participants must be at least 13 years old, and dogs are not allowed.
