Looking for a fun outdoor activity for Halloween? Head to the Lloyd Center parking structure for a special Halloween skate this weekend.
Rose City Rollers, Portland’s roller derby league, is hosting this pop-up skate in a large reserved area of the parking lot with options for covered or outdoor skating.
The Rose City Rollers’ Skatemobile will be packed with rental skates, helmets and pads, or you can bring your own skates and gear. Skaters can head to the 9th Ave. entrance and follow the purple chalk lines. Staff will be there to check you in and get you set up with all the gear.
Make sure you wear your costume! There will be a contest with prizes, and all ages are encouraged to participate. To make it even more fun, DJ Secret Agent Meow will be spinning tunes.
The Halloween skating event has two ticket options. For $20, you get 3-hour entry, skates, helmet and pads. If you have your own gear, entrance is only $10. You’ll be able to choose your visit time and day of your visit when you purchase your tickets. Each ticket includes a small processing fee.
While this is not the cheapest event, it is a great way to get out of the house and have fun with friends or family.
Kids 14 and under must be accompanied by a skating or non-skating adult. Kids 15-18 years old can be dropped off.
Here are the upcoming dates for the Halloween skate.
- Friday, October 30 from 6-9 p.m.
- Saturday, October 31 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 2-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.
To claim your spot for this upcoming event, visit the Rose City Rollers ticketing page.
