Get ready, Portland—the brass is back! Honk! PDX, the city’s free, all-ages brass band festival, returns for its third annual celebration of music, mayhem and radical joy.

What started as a grassroots gathering of music lovers has grown into a two-day party.

Celebrate Portland’s community spirit, creative expression, and collaboration powered by the punchy sound of horns, drums and enthusiasm.

Honk! PDX is July 26-27. 2025. It is free to attend. Here’s a breakdown of the two-day event;

Day One: CRUSHIN’ IT on Alberta Street

Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 1-6 p.m.

Historic Alberta District, NE 16th and NE Alberta

HONK! PDX kicks off with CRUSHIN’ IT, an all-out, high-energy event in the heart of Portland’s Alberta Arts District.

Expect two stages, 10 brass-fueled bands and offbeat activities like watermelon crushing and wrestling.

It’s an all-ages celebration that invites everyone to let loose and connect through rhythm, movement and a healthy dose of sonic silliness.

Day Two: Honk! at the Montavilla Street Fair

Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 12-6 p.m.

Montavilla Neighborhood, SE 80th and SE Stark St.

The party rolls east as Honk! PDX joins forces with the beloved Montavilla Street Fair. Ten bands are back bringing their boldest brass to the street fair.

While you’re there, shop local vendors, enjoy street eats,and explore the neighborhood.
