Do you enjoy decorating your home with plants? Bring your green thumb and a few of your home grown plants to the House Plant Swap at Kindred Homestead Supply.
The downtown Vancouver business is a low-waste, bulk refillery for your home and personal care needs. You bring your own containers and fill them up with a variety of household goods. In addition to bulk products, the local shop sells low-waste and sustainably made home goods, secondhand and vintage items, and locally made artwork.
This shop also hosts great events throughout the month. One such event is a house plant and seed swap.
House Plant Swap at at Kindred Homestead Supply
Kindred Homestead Supply is hosting a plant swap and a flea market this weekend. Head to downtown Vancouver on Saturday, October 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Attendees are invited to bring rooted cuttings, plant babies and full grown potted plants. No plant is too big or too small for this swap.
If you are bringing plants to the swap, make sure you label all your plants so others will know what type of plant they are taking home.
If you are bringing plant cuttings, here are a few ways you can transport and keep them hydrated. Place the cutting in a plastic bag with water and rubber band, a wet paper towel with string, a test tube, a leftover glass container or anything else you have on hand.
This event is free to attend. You do not have to bring a plant to participate. The team at Kindred Homestead Supply asks all participants to be considerate of others at the event so anyone who wants a new plant will have one to take home.
Kindred Homestead Supply is located at 606 Main St. in Vancouver. For more information, visit the website.
