2024 Lightopia: Hillsboro’s Free Drive-Through Light Display

Lightopia, Hillsboro’s free drive-through light display, invites you to enjoy the twinkle of the award-winning event this December.

It is one of the few free holiday light displays in the Portland area. Here’s how you can claim your free spot for 2024 Lightopia:

2024 Lightopia: Hillsboro’s Free Drive-Through Light Display

Enjoy Lightopia, the annual free light display, December 6-30, 2024. The light display opens 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Lightopia closes December 9 and December 19 along with Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The illuminated journey features an awe-inspiring number of lights and light vignettes ranging from funny to dazzling along a 1/2-mile route. The drive-through light display lasts about 15 minutes. 

Free Reservations

Free registration changes in 2024. To participate in this event, you need to register in advance for select days. here’s the breakdown:

• Sunday through Thursday reservations are not required. 
• Friday and Saturday reservations are required.

Claim your free tickets here for Friday and Saturday visits starting at 1 p.m. on November 22. 

Reservations are available in 30-minute time slots. A limit of 75 vehicles are allowed per 30-minute time slot. Reservations are for one vehicle. Arrive within 20 minutes of your reservation time.

Lightopia is at Gordon Faber Recreation Complex (Hillsboro Stadium) at 4450 NE Century Blvd. in Hillsboro.
