Your favorite dessert just got even sweeter. National Pie Day is January 23, 2025. I’ve gathered a list of Portland bakeries and restaurants where you can enjoy a homemade slice of pie on Thursday.
Portland has a great selection of traditional and one-of-a-kind pies served up at local businesses. On National Pie Day, get out and support local while enjoying a delicious treat.
Celebrate National Pie Day in Portland
Lauretta Jean’s Pie Bakery
I’m putting this shop at the top of the list because it is that good. Starting as a small farmers market booth, Lauretta Jean’s now boasts a brick and mortar on Division. If you haven’t tried Lauretta Jean’s pie yet, you are missing out. The bakery has 20 flavors featuring classic and delicious one-of-a-kind pies. The salted honey and chocolate bourbon pecan are my favorites. I always get both because I can’t choose just one of these amazing slices.
Get a slice of pie for $7. Lauretta Jean’s is located at 3402 SE Division St.
The Pie Spot
With a killer crust recipe and a lot of creativity, The Pie Spot was born. The unique mini pies, coined the “cupcake of pie,” are hand formed and filled with delicious flavors. The bakery has more than 10 pie flavors. My favorite is the banana cream and salted caramel. They also serve vegan and gluten free pies. The shop also has some great lunch and dinner options. The breakfast sandwich is delicious.
Individual pies are $6. The Pie Spot is at 521 NE 24th Ave.
Bipartisan Cafe
This is such a great cafe located on the main drag of the Montavilla neighborhood. The eclectic cafe is a must visit place for a good cup of coffee and slice of pie. The political memorabilia make this a one-of-a-kind setting. Bipartisan Cafe has a selection of fruit, seasonal and cream and vegan pies. I recommend to chocolate peanut butter cream pie.

Banning’s Restaurant and Pie House
Since 1979, this family owned business has been serving all your favorite comfort food. If you’re looking for your favorite meals from childhood, this is the place to go. On pie day, choose from the selection of more than 10 freshly baked pies.
Most slices start at $6.50. Banning’s Restaurant and Pie House is at 11477 SW Pacific Hwy. in Tigard.
Caffe Destino
This adorable neighborhood cafe offers a tasty variety of breakfast and lunch items. Get your favorite coffee and pair it with one of the 10 flavors of pie that are artfully displayed in a glass case.
Slices are $7.50. Caffe Destino is at 1339 NE Fremont St.
Petunia’s Pies & Pastries
This bakery in downtown Portland serves a large variety of gluten free and vegan sweets, savory food, ice creams espresso and beverages. Choose from bumble berry peach pie or a seasonal slice, such as strawberry rhubarb, raspberry, apple crumb and more.
Slices are $9.99. Petunia’s Pies & Pastries is located at 610 SW 12th Ave.
