Sweet or savory? The choice is yours on National Pi Day, Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Pi is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. The mathematical constant starts with 3.14, but it goes on for infinity. To celebrate the mathematical constant, businesses all across Portland are offering special deals. 

Pick a savory pizza, sweet slice of pie or both for Pi Day at national and local Portland businesses.

2024 National Pi Day Deals

Atlas Pizza

All day, every day, get a large pizza, large salad and six garlic knots for $40 at Atlas Pizza. 

Atlas Pizza is at 3570 SE Division St.,  710 N Killingsworth St. and 6529 SE Foster Rd.

Bipartisan Cafe

Head to the Montavilla cafe for a special deal on Pi Day. Bipartisan Cafe is offering $1 off slices of any pie. 

The cafe has a selection of fruit, seasonal and cream and vegan pies. I recommend to chocolate peanut butter cream pie.

Pie slices start at $3.50. Bipartisan Cafe is located at 7901 SE Stark St.

Baskin-Robbins and Mathnasium

The ice cream shop and learning center are teaming up for Pi Day 2024. Here are two ways you can win: 

Win a $3,140 educational sponsorship and free ice cream for a year. From Thursday, February 29, through Thursday, March 14, enter for a chance to be one of three lucky winners at Mathnaisum’s website.

There are two local Mathnasium learning centers. 

Baskin-Robbins is $2 off coupons for Polar Pizza® treats, a base of chocolate chip cookie or double fudge brownie crust topped with your favorite ice cream flavor and a variety of ice cream toppings, from hot fudge and caramel sauce to cookie dough pieces and sprinkles. This deal is available on the Baskin-Robbins app. 

There are eighteen Baskin-Robbins locations throughout Portland. 

BJ’s Brewhouse

On Pi Day, BJ’s Brewhouse is celebrating with a special pizza deal. Get a mini one-topping pizza for $3.14. This deal is available for dine-in only on Thursday, March 14. 

The closest BJ’s Brewhouse is at 7390 NE Cornell Rd. in Hillsboro.

Burger King

Enjoy a sweet slice of pie on March 14. Burger King is offering a free Hershey’s Sundae Pie with a minimum purchase of $3.14. 

The offer is only available to Royal Perks members. It is free to sign up. 

There are 20 Burger King locations in and around Portland. 

Decadent Creations

In honor of Pi Day, Decadent Creations designed the Frankenstein Pie, which is a taste of everything. You’ll get 6 slices for $35, including salt and honey pie, blueberry chevre pie, chocolate chess pie, pumpkin tiramisu pie, salted pecan pie and berry bomb pie. You can order the Frankenstein Pie online. This deal is only available for pickup March 12-14.

Decadent Creations is at 171 NE 3rd Ave. in Hillsboro.

Dutch Bros

Go bananas at Dutch Bros. On March 14, the coffee shop is serving banana cream pie shakes or breves.

Great American Video & Espresso

On Pi Day, Great American Video & Espresso in Milwaukie is serving buy one, get one mini ice cream pies, while supplies last. 

These mini pies are made of frozen custard ice cream in a tasty individual pie crusts that fits into your hand topped with tasty candy and cookie bits.

There are lots of delicious flavors rotating throughout the day. 

The video store is at 6130 SE King Rd. in Milwaukie.

HOTLIPS Pizza

At HOTLIPS, get two handcrafted 14-inch cheese or pepperoni pies for $33. This deal is available for pick up or delivery. Call or order online. Limited to one combo discount per order.

HOTLIPS is at 721 NW 9th Ave. and 2211 SE Hawthorne Blvd.

Lauretta Jean’s Pie

On Thursday, pie lovers can enjoy a fun offering from Lauretta Jean’s Pie. Get a special pie mystery box of three surprise slices of pie for $14. You can also buy slices of your favorite pie for $6.50. The shop will have all its classics as well as Pi Day exclusive and cult favorites.

Lauretta Jean’s Pie Bakery is at 3402 SE Division St. in Portland.

Life of Pie 

Get a $8 margherita pizza for dine in from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at Life of Pie. 

Life of Pie has two locations: 1765 NW 23rd Ave. and 3632 N Williams Ave.

Mississippi Pizza

During happy hour from 3-5 p.m., get $3 cheese, pepperoni and vegan slices at Mississippi Pizza.

Mississippi Pizza is at 3552 N Mississippi Ave. in Portland.  

Pie Spot

At Pie Spot, get your orders placed by Thursday, March 7 for pie pickup on Pi Day. Options include a box of six personal pies, baker’s dozen, 9-inch pies, gluten free options and other baked goods. 

Also, Pie Spot has the best breakfast sandwich. Pick one up to accompany your pie order.

The bakery pickup is at the Kerns location, 521 NE 24the Ave.

Pizza Schmizza

Starting March 14, get a free medium one topping pizza with purchase of any regular priced L-XXL pizza. Use code EDFM24 online or show coupon to redeem in any participating Pizza Schmizza or Schmizza Pub & Grub location.

This deal is valid through March 30. One coupon per customer. Not valid at Schmizza Public Houses.

There are seven Pizza Schmizza locations in and around Portland.

Shari’s Cafe

On March 14, enjoy $3.14 pie slices all day at Shari’s. This deal is available for dine in and take out at participating locations, while supplies last. 

Also, you can a free slice of pie when you register for Shari’s Cafe Club. You’ll get a free slice just for signing up and a freebie on your birthday, too. Keep in mind, you first free reward is available 24-48 hours after you sign up.

Starbucks

While this is not a Pi Day deal, you can get buy one, get one Starbucks beverages on March 14. This deal is only available from noon to 6 p.m.

Get your favorite beverage or try the new Luck of the Matcha Crème Frappuccino. 

Victor 23 Craft Brewery

The Portland brewery is serving up a yet-to-be-announced craft beer on draft going for just $3.14.

There are also two special pizzas available on Pi Day: 

• Mortadella Pie with Fresh Mozzarella, Provolone, Red Onion, Calabrian Chilies, and finished with Mortadella Sausage.
• Eggplant Pie (Vegan) with Roasted Eggplant, Cashew Cream, Tomato Sauce, Garlic Confit, and Basil.

Making the day extra special, 10% of profits are donated to Girls Inc.

7-Eleven

To celebrate Pi Day, participating 7-Eleven stores are serving up large pizzas for $3.14 each on March 14. Options include cheese, pepperoni or extreme meat. The deal is available in stores through 7Rewards in the 7-Eleven app. 

This year, you can also get Pi Day pizza deal on the 7NOW Delivery app along with $14 off $30 using the promo code PIDAYDEAL and free delivery with a purchase of $15 or more.

Customers can pair the $3.14 pizza with even more discounts in store, including $1 large Slurpee drinks  and five bone-in wings for $5.99.
