Visit Oaks Park ScareGrounds for a scary good time this October.
During the Halloween season, Oaks Park hosts its very own local haunted attraction, ScareGrounds. As night falls, monsters of all shapes and sizes transform the beloved amusement park into an attraction of horrors.
Here are all the details about the 2023 event.
2023 Oaks Park ScareGrounds
ScareGrounds features three walk-through haunted houses open on select nights in October. Along with the haunted houses are thrill rides, sideshow attractions, games, food and beverages.
Haunted Attractions
Here are the descriptions for each of the ScareGrounds three main attractions:
The Complex
The Complex has unlocked a new wing of the hospital, revealing a gruesome secret. You’ll find yourself in the harrowing depths of the east wing, where you encounter remnants of the past, victims of deranged experiments, antiquated technology grafted onto unwilling flesh and… the doctor himself.
Slayers
Join the ranks as you step inside a secret organization of modern-day monster hunters. Traverse treacherous terrains and ancient realms while confronting unspeakable monstrosities and face the unknown. Test your courage, sharpen your skills and confront the most fearsome adversaries imaginable.
The Silver Scream
The projectionist has returned. Step inside his decrepit movie palace and prepare for a horrifying experience. With your coveted silver ticket in hand, prepare to be thrust into the heart of a new chilling horror marathon. Encounter the most infamous villains of horror cinema unleashed from the silver screen.
There are also nine sideshow attractions, including House of Horrors Scare Zone, Carn-Evil, The Complex Blackout, Tales of Halloween Selfie Museum, ScareGrounds Tribute Store, Oaks Park rides, Labyrinth Games, Buried Alive coffin ride and a bow-and-arrow game.
