One of the Portland metro’s beloved Halloween attractions is back in 2021. Take in the creepy, quirky, creative haunt at Davis Graveyard.
Since 1998, the Davis Graveyard has brought a mix of spooky fun to the fall season with a haunted graveyard. When Chris and Jeff first laid eyes on their Milwaukie home, they knew it would make a bewitching host of an annual Halloween display. The couple summoned their Halloween-loving friends and hatched a plan. The gaggle of ghouls came together to create a homemade haunted cemetery for the whole community to enjoy.
While Davis Graveyard is not located in Portland proper, its location right outside the city limits makes it one of the best haunted attractions in the Portland area. On top of that, it is free to visit.

All of the headstones, props and backdrops you see at Davis Graveyard are made by hand. Some headstones celebrate gone but not forgotten celebrities and characters. Others are etched with quippy sayings. The addition of props and backdrops set the scene for fun viewing any time of day. At night, lighting and sound effects make the haunted cemetery come to life.
In October, Davis Graveyard can be viewed any night of the week. Here’s the schedule:
- Monday-Thursday, dusk to 10 p.m., lights only
- Friday and Saturday, dusk to 11 p.m., lights and full effects
- Sunday, dusk to 10 p.m., lights and full effects

The free Halloween display can be viewed from the fence at the Davis’s house. They ask that you are respectful of the neighborhood when parking.
Davis Graveyard is located at 8703 SE 43rd Ave. in Milwaukie. For more information, visit the Davis Graveyard website.
