OMSI announced its reopening with new operating policies to meet state guidelines and help keep the community safe. Here’s what you need to know before you go.
New changes to OMSI’s operations includes limiting capacity, and requiring physical distancing and face coverings.
Beginning Saturday, June 20, OMSI will be open Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for a limited number of visitors. The OMSI Science Store will also be open 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
To start, OMSI will have two exhibits open for visitors to experience: BODY WORLDS & The Cycle of Life and tour the USS Blueback Submarine. The last entry for BODY WORLDS will be at 6 p.m. and the last submarine tour at 6:10 pm.
OMSI strongly recommends purchasing admission tickets and parking online prior to your visit. Upon arrival, guests can have contactless entry by showing the ticket order on their phone to be scanned by museum staff.
OMSI’s exhibition halls, the Empirical Theater, Kendall Planetarium, and museum restaurants will remain closed for the time being. The center will be monitoring state guidelines as the summer progresses, and will bring back additional experiences once it’s safe to do so.
