Outdoor Skating at Oaks Amusement Park

This is your chance to see Oaks Amusement Park like never before. Rose City Rollers, Portland’s roller derby league, is hosting outdoor skating on the open, paved grounds of the park.

Since the pandemic, Oaks Amusement Park has been closed to the public. Rose City Rollers came up with a creative way to take advantage of all that space and, most importantly, pavement.

The Rose City Rollers’ Skatemobile is packed with rental skates, helmets and pads, or you can bring your own skates and gear. Your ticket includes two hours of open skating at Oaks Park. You’ll get access to skate the midway around the rides and the parking lots.

The outdoor skating event has two ticket options. For $20, you get 2.5-hour entry, skates, helmet and pads. If you have your own gear or you’re interested in walking, entrance is only $10. You’ll be able to choose your visit time when you purchase your tickets. Each ticket includes a small processing fee.

While this is not the cheapest event, it is a great way to safely get out of the house and have fun with friends or family.

Only 50 guests are allowed on the property during assigned two-hour time slots. Masks and social distancing are required. Bathrooms will be available and will be sanitized after each use. You are welcome to bring water and snacks with you.

Kids 14 and under must be accompanied by a skating or non-skating adult. Kids 15-18 years old can be dropped off.
