Stay and Play During Portland Children’s Museum Discount Day
The Portland Children’s Museum is a treat all year long. Located right next to the Oregon Zoo and Washington Park, it is at the epicenter of Portland attractions.
The best time to visit the is on the second Sunday of the month when the museum offers reduced admission to all visitors. The Second Sunday Savings event grants visitors of all ages $4 admission from 9 a.m. to noon.
My favorite part is once you’re in the museum with your discounted ticket, you can stay and play all day. So don’t feel like anyone is going to usher you out at noon.
Because of the location of the Portland Children’s Museum, there are so many other activities you can fill your day with. Oh, and did I mention that these activities are free?
When you’re done playing around, explore Washington Park on the free shuttle. Just take a short walk over to the Washington Park Max Station where the shuttle picks up every 15 minutes.
While you’re on the shuttle you can make a stop at one of my favorite locations in the city: the International Test Rose Garden. This free Portland rose garden gives your little ones plenty of space to move around, smell some flowers and event take a break on a bench or under the foliage.
The Portland Children’s Museum is located at 4015 SW Canyon Rd. in Portland. Visit www.portlandcm.org for more information.
