This weekend, the Willamette River will come alive with the splash of paddles and the cheers of spectators as dozens of colorful dragon boats race down the waterway in fierce competition.

2024 Portland Dragon Boat Festival
The Portland Dragon Boat Festival features more than 70 race heats spread across two days, with teams racing in exhilarating 500-meter sprints. Keep your eyes peeled for the grand finale, the Race Around the Bridges, which adds an extra level of excitement as athletes navigate the course’s twists and turns.

Vendors are located south of the Hawthorne Bridge, offering plenty of opportunities to indulge between heats.
