Starting Monday, March 16, Portland area schools will be closed. While many have re-open dates, right now it feels uncertain when kids and adults will be able to return to their regular schedules. To help the families most affected by school closures, Portland restaurants have stepped up to serve free kids meals to Meal Assistance Program families.
The restaurants include Laughing Planet Cafe, Stella Taco, Sugar Street Bakery & Bistro, Lionheart Coffee Company, Bless Your Heart Burgers and PDX Sliders. View the full menu and locations below. All of these menu items are available to go.
These restaurants are working off of the honor system, which means you do not need to bring in proof that your family qualifies for a free or reduced lunch program.
Just like the news is updating us hourly, all of these free lunch offers are subject to change. Please check the restaurant’s social media daily for updates and cancellations.
I will continue to add to this list as I find more Portland restaurants offering free kids meals. Do you know of one I missed? Please send me an email.
