Portland offers a host of New Year’s Eve events. Restaurants join in on the fun by pulling out all the stops to celebrate the end of the year. Find your ideal New Year’s Eve dining from this compiled list of tasty options.
Also, if you’re going out New Year’s Eve you can get a free Trimet ride starting at 8 p.m. No paying for parking or need for a designated driver!

Portland Restaurants Open on New Year’s Eve
Abigail Hall
Abigail Hall is open 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on New Year’s Eve with cocktails and food, plus a DJ and a champagne toast at midnight.
The restaurant is at 813 SW Alder Street in Portland.
Black Angus Steakhouse
Black Angus Steakhouse in Vancouver is open on New Year’s Eve from 3 to 10 p.m.
The restaurant is located at 415 East 13th St. in Vancouver.
Brix Tavern
On New Year’s Eve, Brix Tavern is serving a 4-course dinner served from 5 to 11 p.m. for $65 a person. There’s also a DJ and dance party starting from 9 p.m.-12:30 a.m., which includes late night appetizers for $35.
All three Brix Tavern locations are participating: 1338 NW Hoyt St. in Portland, 8187 SW Tualatin Sherwood Rd. in Tualatin and 6045 Keizer Station Blvd. in Keizer.
Chart House
Dine in with a special New Year’s Eve menu at Chart House from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. The restaurant is also open on January 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Denny’s
Denny’s is open for regular hours on New Year’s Eve and Day. Check your nearest location before visiting.
Elmer’s
All local Elmer’s locations are open on New Year’s Eve and Day. Hours vary by location so be sure you check the hours at your nearest location before you visit.
Fogo de Chao
The Portland location is serving meals from 11 a.m. to midnight on New Year’s Eve and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
You can also opt for a holiday to-go packages for six people starting at $180. All orders require at least 24-hour notice. This holiday meal is available through January 1, 2025.
Fogo de Chao is at 930 SW 6th Ave. in Portland.
Golden Valley Brewery
The Golden Valley Brewery Beaverton location is open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve with a list of special plates, celebratory cocktails and fine wines to help you usher the new year in with style.
Golden Valley Brewery is at 1520 NW Bethany Blvd. in Beaverton.
IHOP
Most IHOP locations are open on New Year’s Eve. Check your nearest location for hours before visiting.
McCormick & Schmick’s
On New Year’s Eve, McCormick & Schmick’s is featuring a pre fixe menu starting at $50 per person from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The restaurant is at 17015 SW 72nd Ave. in Tigard.
Morton’s Steakhouse
The downtown steakhouse is open from 4 to 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and 5 to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
Morton’s Steakhouse is at 213 SW Clay St. in Portland.
Pizza Kat
The West Burnside pizza place is open 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
Pizza Kat is at 2174 West Burnside St. in Portland.
Rivershore Bar & Grill
Rivershore Bar & Grill in Oregon City is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
The restaurant is at 1900 Clackamette Drive in Oregon City.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House
The downtown location will have a special holiday menu on New Year’s Eve from 3 to 10:30 p.m.

Salty’s on the Columbia
Salty’s on the Columbia is open from noon to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
Salty’s is at 3839 NE Marine Drive in Portland.
Urban Fondue
From 4-9 p.m. on December 31, enjoy a three-course fondue experience and choose a tasty holiday cocktail at Urban Fondue.
