The popular downtown market is back featuring more than 100 booths filled with handcrafted goods. In operation since 1974, the weekly marketplace has gained national recognition as the largest continuously operating open-air arts and crafts market in the country.

2026 Portland Saturday Market

The Portland Saturday Market is held on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 7 through December 19, 2026.

If you love supporting local small businesses, the Portland Saturday Market is a great place to shop. All items at the market are handcrafted and sold by the Pacific Northwest makers. That means when you visit a booth, you get the unique opportunity to meet with artists. You’ll often see pieces being made right in the booths.

Opening Day Activities

On March 7, enjoy these activities throughout the day:

10 a.m. Postcard Bar: Personalize a handmade postcard sent with craft and care from Portland Saturday Market. The activity is open while supplies last. 

10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Living Museum Tour: Take a tour through the relics, memories, and mementos from the last 52 years of the market. Sign up for the free tour. 

11 a.m.-1 p.m. I Heart Media Live DJ appearance

2-3:30 p.m. Market Trivia: Portland Saturday Market has teamed up with Taproom Trivia to bring you Portland Saturday Market themed trivia. Winning teams also earn prizes. 

Parking and Transportation

If you park in the nearby Smart Park at 2 SW Naito Parkway, you can get your parking validated when you spend $25 on items at the market. Bring your purchases to the red information trailer to claim your validation.

Also, MAX and buses stop close to the market at the Old Town/Chinatown station and Oak/SW 1st Ave station.
